Feb. 23-26: Philanthropy Week engages future donors

paws-logo-200PULLMAN, Wash. – Giveaways, community service and a photo booth contest will highlight Washington State University’s celebration of Philanthropy Week.

The student-to-student program Philanthropy at Washington State (PAWS) organizes the week and other activities to promote and educate students on the importance of giving. Coordinated out of the WSU Foundation, PAWS demonstrates the tradition of private donation to the university while inspiring a community of future donors.

Events will include:

Monday: Photo booth contest, noon-2 p.m. in the CUB. Winner will receive a limited edition prize.

Tuesday: Day of service College Hill cleanup and food drive, 3 p.m. at Community Congregational Church, 525 NE Campus St. Bring two canned food items for the food drive.

Wednesday: Fill-the-PAWS bank, noon-2 p.m. in the CUB. Bring extra change to fill the PAWS bank for donations to various WSU funds.

Thursday: PAWS-4-thanks, noon-3 p.m. in the CUB. Sign a thank you card to donors. Food provided.
