WSU provides service to care for families of employees

bright-horizons-logoPULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University faculty and staff have access to a Web portal to help them manage care for children, seniors and pets.

Access to the Bright Horizons program (previously SelectPlus) is through membership paid by WSU. The actual services – which WSU does not pay for – can be used anywhere in the United States, regardless of whether employees live in the same town or state as a family member in need.

Bright Horizons consists of:

Sittercity: In-home care including babysitters, nannies, pet sitters, tutors and individual senior caregivers.

Years Ahead: Senior care providers for assisted and independent living, including certified advisors for guidance and specialized facilities such as memory and hospice care.

WSU does not endorse or recommend individual caregivers.

At the Bright Horizons portal, employees can find and hire local service providers to help with family needs. Employees can also find a degree of assurance, since background checks are performed on listed providers and customer feedback and reviews are posted online.

Get more information and register for membership at https://www.sittercity.com/wsu or http://hrs.wsu.edu/Sittercity. Contact WSU Human Resource Services at 509-335-4521 or hrs@wsu.edu with questions.
