PULLMAN, Wash. – “One Person’s Trash is Another’s Treasure: Historical Archaeology and the Study of Garbage,” a free, public presentation by history instructor Ken Faunce, will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, in CUE 203 at Washington State University.
Historical archaeology uses what people leave behind to better understand groups of the past as well as ourselves. As demonstrated in this year’s WSU common reading book, “Garbology,” trash can help us learn about people’s habits, behaviors, beliefs and lifestyles.
