Feb. 21: Research expo highlights student work

PULLMAN, Wash. – Student research will be on display at the annual Wiley Research Exposition 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, in the CUB at Washington State University.

Posters will be in the ballroom and oral presentations will be given on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors.

wiley-women-250All students may participate but only graduate and professional students will compete for awards.

“The Value of Research in Society: Lessons from the Field” will be the keynote speech by Arvind Singhal. He is the Samuel Shirley and Edna Holt Marston Endowed Professor of Communication and director of the Social Justice Initiative at the University of Texas at El Paso’s Department of Communication. He is the William J. Clinton Distinguished Fellow at the Clinton School of Public Service, Little Rock, Ark.

The expo is sponsored by the WSU Graduate & Professional Student Association.

William R. Wiley earned his doctorate at WSU and served as president on the Board of Regents. He is recognized as an outstanding researcher at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
