PULLMAN, Wash. – Student applications are being sought for 2014-15 for the board of directors of the Students Book Corporation (Bookie). The deadline is Feb. 7.
Eight openings include undergraduate and graduate students.
Visit the SBC website at http://sbcboard.wsu.edu/ to complete an application. A resume is required. Application materials can be turned in at the Bookie information desk.
Owned by the students of Washington State University, the Bookie is a nonprofit organization that operates bookstores on all of WSU’s campuses. The board, primarily comprised of students, is appointed by the trustees.
As board members, students can gain insight into the strategic movements of a corporation, corporate social responsibility, financial decision making of a large organization and peer representation.
