SPOKANE, Wash. – More than $45,000 was raised for scholarships at the Oct. 5 retirement party honoring R. Keith Campbell, a pharmacy professor at WSU for the past 45 years. There were 249 who attended and others who sent their regrets along with contributions.
The money has been enough to create a scholarship endowment in Campbell’s name, and the College of Pharmacy received enough interest at the event and in the days following that the effort is continuing to raise additional funds for the endowment. After his retirement this fall, Campbell will keep an office on the WSU Pullman campus as a faculty emeritus and continue his work on diabetes.
