Oct. 16: Tenure and promotion workshop aims to inform, assist faculty

PULLMAN, Wash. – A workshop and question-and-answer session about all aspects of faculty performance reviews will be presented by Fran McSweeney 9:30-11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, in Murrow 52. It will be accessible statewide via AMS Videoconferencing Services (see locations when you register online at http://hrs.wsu.edu/Faculty%20Promotion%20Workshops) and will be videostreamed for Internet access.

The workshop is part of an effort to increase the transparency of faculty personnel policies.

McSweeney, regents professor of psychology and vice provost for faculty affairs, will particularly focus on tenure and promotion. Any faculty member who has an interest in these issues should attend, particularly those who are just beginning their careers at WSU or who will come up for an important evaluation soon.
