PULLMAN – WSU led all Pacific-10 Conference schools with seven student-athletes on the Pac-10 All-Academic First Team, the conference announced this week. Additionally, WSU had one second-team selection and four student-athletes named honorable mention.
- senior center Chris Prummer, a zoology major from Renton, Wash., with a 3.90 GPA
- senior defensive end Casey Hamlett, a management and operations major from Edmonds, Wash., with a 3.77 GPA
- senior defensive end Kevin Kooyman, a management and operations major from Maple Valley, Wash. who carries a 3.18 GPA
- junior wide receiver Jared Karstetter from Spokane, Wash., who has a 3.55 GPA in zoology
- sophomore safety Kyle McCartney, from Edmonds, Wash., who maintains a 3.87 GPA in entrepreneurship
- wide receiver Daniel Blackledge, a senior communication major (3.01 GPA) from Colorado Springs, Colo.
- sophomore tight end Skylar Stormo, a finance major (3.09) from Everett, Wash.
- redshirt freshman defensive tackle Justin Clayton from Napa, Calif.
- redshirt freshman linebacker Darren Markle from Meridian, Idaho
