Influential CEO to talk at annual Power Breakfast

PULLMAN – The WSU College of Business will hold its next Power Breakfast in Seattle, featuring guest speaker Joni Earl, chief executive officer of Sound Transit and WSU alumna. The breakfast will take place 7:30-9 a.m. on Sept. 17 at the Westin Hotel.
In 2005, Earl was named one of Seattle Magazine’s 25 most influential people of the Puget Sound region and one of Puget Sound Business Journal’s 20 Women of Influence.
Earl holds a bachelor’s degree from WSU. She is a graduate of Harvard University’s State and Local Government Executive Program and holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Puget Sound.
Sound Transit is the agency responsible for building and operating the Puget Sound region’s mass transit system. Under Earl’s leadership, the agency has built new transit centers, park-and-ride lots and HOV access lanes throughout Central Puget Sound. The agency runs ST Express buses, Sounder commuter trains, Tacoma Link light rail, and Central Link light rail trains from downtown Seattle to Sea-Tac Airport.
The cost to attend the event is $40 per person and priority reservations are due by Sept. 10.  The event is sponsored by Resources Global and the WSU Alumni Association’s Wine by Cougars.
Now in its seventh year, the Power Breakfast Series continues to inform, inspire and engage WSU alumni and regional business leaders on topics of entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership.
