Bin Li, a Ph.D. student in mechanical and materials engineering working with professor Katie Zhong, was awarded second place in the 2010 Boeing Engineering Student of the Year for his work in multifunctional nanocomposites.
The award is presented each year by Boeing and Flightglobal, a leading provider of aerospace news and data, to an engineering student whose work is considered most likely to lead to improvements in aerospace systems, capabilities, processes, tools, performance and/or cost.
A panel presentation, “From Dissertation to Book: Discussing the Process and Experience of Early Professional Scholarship,” will be held from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, in the Terrell Library atrium. The event will also be livestreamed.
A system-wide committee has updated the suite of one-to-four-credit university student-success courses and processes for the first time in a decade, resulting in several changes effective starting in fall 2023.
