Five fitness certificates offered online at WSU

PULLMAN – WSU’s Conference Management unit has joined forces with Educational Fitness Solutions to offer five online professional certificates in fitness, nutrition and wellness.
The certificates will equip both established professionals and graduating students to advance in a booming industry. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the demand for fitness professionals will grow 29 percent between 2008 and 2018.
The certificates also help nonprofessionals develop personal fitness plans, and may fulfill requirements for continuing education credits or units.
The five certificates are – Fitness Business Management, Nutrition for Optimal Health, Wellness and Sports, Personal Training and Group Exercise Training for Older Adults, Personal Fitness Training, and Women’s Exercise Training and Wellness.
All of the certificates can be taken completely online. The first courses will begin Feb. 8 and the deadline to register is Feb. 5. For more information, go to Conference Management’s Educational Fitness website.
