Faculty encouraged to apply for an OER Development Grant

Faculty are encouraged to create and use open education resources and library materials to support student learning in conjunction with WSU Vancouver’s 2016 – 2021 strategic plan, Goal 3: Growth.

One of the strategies under “Retention and Persistence to Graduation” calls for the university to “reduce overall cost of student instructional materials (e.g. expand the use of open educational resources).”

Academic Affairs and the library invite all instructional faculty to apply for a competitive OER Development Grant to work with academic technologists and library faculty to implement high-quality content options for your courses.

The goal is to help you find high quality, less costly ways to deliver the instructional content and ancillary course materials (i.e. homework modules, quiz questions) your students need to learn. Applications are due Feb. 16.
