The WSU Alumni Association is celebrating the founding of the university by handing out free cake to students, faculty, and staff systemwide on March 28 as part of Crimson and Gray Day.
The virtual panel discussion on “Thriving Authentically” will feature guest experts starting at 5 p.m. It is hosted by the WSU Academic Success and Career Center and the Office of Outreach and Education.

The published works of WSU authors will be recognized at the Libraries’ ninth annual Crimson Reads, starting with a 1 p.m. presentation on Monday, March 21, in the Terrell Library atrium.
At 1 p.m. Saturday, March 19, volunteers will plant young redcedars at Tacoma’s Swan Creek Park in a grassroots, classroom-focused effort to learn how these distinctive, beautiful giants can stand up to a changing climate.
Interdisciplinary ideas designed to address climate change will be the topic of a hackathon WSU is hosting in Spokane May 11–12. Applications are due March 21 to participate.
