There will be an information meeting for PATH to Success: A Veterans’  Journey on Wednesday, April 23, 7-9 pm, Cleveland Hall, Room 70. This is a horsemanship program for veterans scheduled for fall 2014. Refreshments will be provided. The program will be provided at no cost to veterans. Horse experience is not required. (more…)

The 2014 Leadership and Engagement Awards of Distinction (LEAD) event is a celebration of WSU student leaders and those who have mentored and supported the efforts of these students as they work towards leadership and social change. The LEAD program will include an address from the 2013-14 ASWSU president and vice president and GPSA president, the inauguration of the 2014-15 ASWSU officers, a Gallery of Leadership, and the presentation of the 2014 President’s Award for Leadership featuring WSU Provost Dr. Daniel Bernardo. The LEAD event is open to the public and will take place on Thursday, April 24 beginning at 5:00 pm in the Compton Union Senior Ballroom on the WSU Pullman campus. (more…)

Diversity Education is hosting a film series that critically examines the criminal justice system. The film series will use three mainstream films as a launching point to discuss the impact that the prison system has on individuals and communities, and in reinforcing systemic inequality. Following the films, there will be a discussion that explores the issues presented by the film and the state of the criminal justice system. (more…)

The Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport will hold a public open house event for the Airport’s Environmental Assessment Tuesday, April 22, from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Brelsford WSU Visitor Center. The Student Entertainment Board is pleased to present the 2014 Springfest Music and Arts Festival beginning on Friday, April 25, from 5 – 11 p.m., continuing on Saturday, April 26, from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Wilson Road.

The event will feature over 10 bands, DJ’s, 4 carnival rides, and for the first time in the Pacific Northwest, the Luminarium art exhibit. The Palouse Discovery Science Center will also be there along with arts and crafts activities and fun for the all. Outdoor activities are open and free with the exception of the carnival rides pass which is $10 for non-WSU students and a suggested donation for the Luminarium. The two day event will culminate with a Beasley concert at 8:00 pm on Saturday, April 26, featuring Snoop Dogg. (more…)

On April 15th at approximately 9 p.m., WSU email was impacted by an issue occurring with Proofpoint that affected email delivery from external senders to WSU recipients. This may have also affected WSU mail systems that use Internet routing for some WSU email addresses. (more…)

The WSU Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) celebrates Civic Engagement Week April 20-26 as a record number of over 8,000 students have engaged this academic year! The week includes service projects, educational tabling, an Eco Adventure, a Public Forum Debate on environmental sustainability, and the LEAD event featuring the President’s Award for Leadership.
