myWSU Maintenance on Saturday Morning

myWSU maintenance is scheduled for Saturday August 5th beginning at 2 am and lasting until at 7 am

With our recent upgrade to Campus Solutions 9.2, the quarterly updates to deliver new features and functionality to our myWSU system will be delivered using a PeopleSoft Update Manager images (PUM) rather than the previous bundle updates. This PUM image delivery process will provide increased flexibility and efficiency for installing new features and provide the Enterprise Systems team with greater visibility into the new fluid pages within Campus Solutions 9.2.

August 11 – Customer Service at WSU Training (videoconferenced)

WSU strives to provide an exemplary service experience to our clients.  This is a challenge for an institution this large and distributed across so many locations and serving a diverse client base.  This interactive workshop focuses on the “Client Service Skills” that make WSU memorable to our students, to their parents, and to each other.

The next session takes place on August 11, 9 – 11 pm.

Fri. research symposium, 9-1 in the CUE

Posters showing the summer work of around 90 undergraduates, plus a keynote address by new VCEA Dean Mary Rezac, are open to the public this Friday in the Smith Center for Undergraduate Education.

Dr. Rezac will address the students in a presentation starting at 9 a.m. in CUE 202.

The poster presentations will run from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the nearby CUE Atrium, also on the second floor.

The student researchers worked for the past 10 weeks of so with top WSU faculty researchers and their teams. Projects ranged from bioscience to landscape ecology, the atmosphere to smart environments, biofuels to plant genomics, and much … » More …

Aug 4 & 5 Last Final Cherry U-Pick at Tukey Orchard

Our young cherry trees still have LOTS of good quality cherries that are easy to pick so we will have one more Friday and Saturday Cherry U-pick August 4 & 5.  There are still some pie cherries too.

Friday hours are 12:00noon to 6:00pm
Saturday hours are 10:00am to 4:00pm

Magic Tricks Coffee Hour

How much do you know about magic? For those of you who are magicians, come to Coffee Hour on Friday, August 4, to share some tricks up your sleeve. For those of you who are new to magic, come pick up a card, any card! Join us at the International Center in CUB L46 from 3 – 4 p.m.

Dual Signage in WSU Parking Lots

With the 2016 – 2017 parking permit cycle coming to an end, we are beginning to prepare for the 2017 – 2018 permit cycle.  A large part of this preparation is installing new signs in a majority of the lots to reflect the parking zone changes that will take effect beginning August 19, 2017.

In the last couple days you may have noticed two signs on the sign post as you enter parking lots on campus.  This is a reminder of what zone the parking lot will become with the new 2017 – 2018 permit cycle.
