Shared Leave

Casey M. Baulne, School of the Environment, has been approved for shared leave.

Those interested in donating leave can contact Human Resource Services, (509) 335-4521, or send in a shared-leave donation form to zip 1014, French Ad 139.  WSU Business Policies & Procedures Manual Section 60.58 has information about Shared Leave and forms that can be copied for use.

Questions about the procedures to donate leave to any approved individual can be directed to Sally Wickizer ( or Candy Hachmann ( at Human Resource Services.

Personnel Managers Conference March 22

This year’s Personnel Managers Conference features the topic of Risk Management in the 21st Century.  Occurring on Wednesday, March 22 (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.), it is designed especially for WSU Personnel Managers and Administrators.  The conference is hosted by Human Resource Services and will include presentations by the Office of the Attorney General, Information Security Services and the Office of Internal Audit. Emphasis will be given to your department’s role in Network Security, Confidential Data and Public Records.

WSU to Host Hands-On Relay School

WSU Conference Management is welcoming the Hands-On Relay School to campus once again this year during Spring Break. The events will be held in Todd Hall and the Engineering complex. The conference participants will be parking near Smith CUE on Monday and Tuesday morning and near EE/ME and Sloan on Monday and Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday and Thursday. #CougsGive 2017 Scholarship Contest

Student Financial Services (SFS) is excited to announce that to help support #CougsGive 2017 and WSU’s 127th Birthday, SFS will be having scholarship contest via the Student Financial Services Facebook page. Four (4) scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $500 each to contest winners. Starting March 13th students will submit 500 word (maximum) essay in response to the questions below, and a photo of themselves.

Student Success Seed Grant Program proposals welcomed

The Office of the Provost and the Division of Student Affairs are pleased to welcome proposals for the 2017 Student Success Seed Grant Program.

The Program is designed to support the development, replication, and dissemination of innovative solutions that address widespread challenges in postsecondary education for students who are at risk for not completing an undergraduate degree. A specific focus of the program is to improve student persistence and completion outcomes at Washington State University. Successful proposals for Student Success Seed Grants will demonstrate a clear plan for securing subsequent major external funding to continue, expand, and advance interventions.
