More than 40 student journalists will be traveling on overnight reporting trips this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 4-5, for the second Rural Reporting Plunge. Last year, students enjoyed meeting Cougs all around the region!
They will be traveling to towns in Washington (Chewelah, Davenport, Ritzville, Rosalia, Tekoa, Waitsburg, Washtucna) and Idaho (Cottonwood, Craigmont, Kooskia, Plummer) to talk with people, produce video and photos, and identify story ideas for news and features.
This event is organized by the Journalism & Media Production department and funded by a Smith Teaching & Learning Grant. Any questions or comments about this project can be sent to lisalynn@wsu.edu. Additional information is on the project webpage: http://rural.murrowbpj.com
