INSTRUCTORS: If you would like someone from the WSU Reactor to give a short presentation about the program during your class, please contact us!

The WSU Nuclear Radiation Center is currently accepting applications for the 2015-2016 Student Reactor Operator Training Program. In addition to conducting research and producing industrial isotopes, the WSU Nuclear Radiation Center offers a free Reactor Operator licensing program to students of all disciplines. Applicants must be currently enrolled at WSU and able to commit to three hours of class per week, as well as several hours of hands-on reactor operator training. The reactor staff is willing to work around individual student’s schedules to provide the best learning experience possible.

Students demonstrating successful completion of training will sit for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Reactor Operator licensing examination. Students must be willing to commit to a one year post license period to serve as a part-time Reactor Operator.
