Washington State University Tri-Cities and the U.S. Department of Energy team up again to present the fourth lecture in a series focusing on the Hanford Site on Wednesday, Nov. 8, from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. in the East Auditorium on the Tri-Cities campus. The presentation will focus on the Richland Operations Office’s progress and future in the Hanford cleanup effort.
The presenter is Tom Fletcher, WSU alumnus and deputy manager of the Richland Operations Office. He will focus on the Richland Operation Office’s priorities for continuing the cleanup of the Hanford Site while they strictly adhere to safe, environmentally-acceptable and responsible management.
Richland Operations has an annual budget of approximately $1 billion and multiple contractors under their oversight. All are at work on the cleanup as it continues the mission at the 580-square-mile site.
