Even one student presenting live from Mexico!: Students from Pullman, WSU Vancouver and Tri-Cities, and the Global Campus will present at this WSU-wide event for undergraduate researchers from all disciplines and in all grades.
One Pullman student who is studying in Mexico this semester and another from WSU Vancouver will deliver their presentations virtually, thanks to web conferencing courtesy of the Global Campus. [http://globalcampus.wsu.edu/]
Topics: Student research topics range from perceptions about wine to the design and testing of a remotely controlled air-cavity boat, and from fashion as identity to a bioinformatic analysis of the genome of mycobacteriophage Sillygoose.
New rubric: A new judging rubric will debut this year, used by faculty and guest expert judges to evaluate each presenter. An interdisciplinary panel of faculty and staff members worked for months to develop the rubric. Judges will also provide personal feedback to students.
