State finance chief to explain Washington state budget on March 6

David Schumacher, director of the Office of Financial Management within Governor Inslee’s administration, will present “Governor Inslee’s 2017-19 Financial Plan” 4:30-5:30 p.m. Monday, March 6, in Todd Hall 130 at Washington State University.

Schumacher will focus on the governor’s proposed 2017–19 operating budget that calls for changes to create a balanced, sustainable revenue system better designed to address the state’s immediate needs and keep pace as the economy grows.

During the lecture, participants may text questions to a moderator at 207-518-8066.

The presentation is hosted by the WSU Howard D. and B. Phyllis Hoops Institute of Taxation Research and Policy in the Carson College of Business.
