Three graduate students in sport management will present their master’s thesis ideas in the culminating event of the Sport Management Research Meetings series 4-5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, in Cleveland Hall 255 in Pullman.
Presenting “Shaping the student athlete identity: An examination of the salient factors” will be Robert Harris, followed by Wei Ching Liao (“2022 Beijing Winter Olympic and Paralympic official social media usage: An international comparison”) and Jonathan Arslanian (“Does the aspiration of receiving a collegiate athletic scholarship improve the academic performance of high school student-athletes?”).
Presenters are scheduled in 30-minute increments with 5 minutes allowed for transition. Each will speak for up to 15 minutes, followed by time for questions and feedback.
Sport Management Research Meetings are organized by the Sport Management program at Washington State University. They occur monthly and feature faculty and student presentations of ongoing and completed research projects. Students and faculty from all programs are welcome to attend.
