One of the most common concerns we field in HRS Training and Development is, “There is just too much to pick from!” This is a fair observation since HRS coordinates over 400 live Instructor Led Sessions each year and the online resources include over 3,500 courses and more than 25,000 books.
We hear you! A new approach to working with this situation – SkillBurst! – has just been launched.
With this tool, you can now access pre-selected courses and books arranged into specific topics right on your training account home page. This narrows the list of training resources to a smaller group of options to help you get started on your professional development. From there, you may elect to continue your learning with the many additional resources awaiting you in the WSU Online Training System.
Three SkillBurst! topics are currently available. These will be supplemented over the coming months with many more topics already being developed and we invite you to contact hrstraining@wsu.edu with your requests for other topics. Learn more and start to explore at http://hrs.wsu.edu/skillburst!
