University Recreation is proud to offer new Beginner Leagues in the Intramural Sports’ program. A beginner 5v5 soccer league and a flag football league will be offered this fall. For only $20 a semester participants receive unlimited sports play, no additional fees, just $20 for a whole semester of fun.
DJ Mackie, coordinator of competitive sports and youth programs, says, “Our programs provide social benefits as well as physical benefits and they help students get involved on campus. We want as many students as possible to look back on their college experience and feel that they took advantage of all they could.”
Build a team with a group of friends or play as a free agent to meet new people, have fun, and make memories. UREC created Beginner Leagues for participants to play in a less competitive environment that focuses on learning and enjoying the sport. Whether you haven’t picked up a ball in years or you have never played before at all, UREC invites you to come out and play!
You can sign up for Beginner Leagues at www.imleagues.com. To find out more information on leagues and dates, visit www.urec.wsu.edu/imsports or contact DJ Mackie at dmackie@wsu.edu.
