Register now: Distinguished Faculty Address and Celebrating Excellence Banquet

Members of the WSU community can now reserve seats for the Distinguished Faculty Address and Celebrating Excellence Banquet. Both late-March events are part of Showcase, WSU’s weeklong celebration of academic excellence.

This year’s Distinguished Faculty Address will be delivered by Maureen Schmitter-Edgecombe, professor in the Department of Psychology. Dr. Schmitter-Edgecombe has made significant contributions to the field of clinical neuropsychology, and she continues to pursue cutting-edge interdisciplinary work developing smart technologies for health care. Her research focuses on extending the quality of life and functional independence of the aging population and individuals with cognitive disorders, including neurodegenerative diseases and traumatic brain injury.

The event will be held Wednesday, March 27 in the Compton Union Building Junior Ballroom. Reservations recommended.

The Celebrating Excellence Banquet honors outstanding achievements of WSU faculty and staff. An awards program recognizes distinguished members of the University community.

The banquet will be held Friday, March 29 at 5:30 p.m. in the M.G. Carey Senior Ballroom, Compton Union Building. Reservations required.
