PERS Plan 3 January transfer window for PERS 2 participants

Every January PERS 2 members who established membership prior to March 1, 2002 have the opportunity to transfer to PERS 3.

Resources you may wish to review to assist in this decision include:

To utilize the Online Comparison Tool, you will need your current account balance, which can be accessed under “Your Retirement Account” or by contacting DRS at 800-547-6657 or recep@drs.wa.gov.

To transfer to PERS 3, which will be an irrevocable decision, complete a Member Transfer Form and submit it to Human Resource Services no later than January 31, 2020.  The form is also available at the Pullman HRS Office at 139 French Administration Building.

If you miss this opportunity, you will have to wait until next January 2020 for the next transfer window. If you have questions or need additional information regarding the annual PERS transfer you can call the Pullman HRS office at 509-335-4521 or email hrs@wsu.edu.
