Panel on Living with Race in South Africa

Global Learning Programs will be hosting a panel, “Everyday South Africans: Living with Race in South Africa,” on Thursday, September 24, from 10 a.m. to noon. The panel will include South African writers/activists Lynn Hill, Billy Selekane, and Luke Smith, who represent different racial identities (white, black, mixed). The panelists will talk about their experience growing up in South Africa and their impressions of and connections to the experiences Trevor Noah relates in Born a Crime, this year’s WSU Common Reading book. Common Reading credit is available for students who attend this event. The Zoom link can be found at CommonReading.wsu.edu/calendar.
