New Laboratory Signage Program available

WSU Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and Facilities Operations have worked together to improve worker protection, emergency response, security, and International Fire Code compliance for laboratories using a laboratory notification and warning sign.

EH&S asks WSU laboratories to update their laboratory signage through the new Laboratory Signage Program, available here:  https://ehs.wsu.edu/laboratory-safety/laboratory-signage-program/. This effort can be completed by those that are working remotely due to our current social distancing guidelines.

Laboratories wishing to accomplish this effort will need a copy of their chemical inventory with Chemical Abstract Service or CAS numbers. The signage webpage provides instructions and options for identifying CAS numbers.

Please contact Tom Ebeling at tom.ebeling@wsu.edu or 509-335-0948 if you have questions or need assistance with the new program.

The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience. Information provided and opinions expressed may not reflect the understanding or opinion of WSU. Accuracy of the information presented is the responsibility of those who submitted it. The self-uploaded posts are reviewed for compliance with state statutes and ethics guidelines but are not edited for spelling, grammar, or clarity.
