Need to lower taxable income for 2019?

Do you think you might need or want to reduce your taxable income for 2019?

If so, time is running down before the end of the year!  You can begin or change pre-tax contributions to one or both of the voluntary retirement savings plans WSU offers, allowing you to lower your taxable earnings for the year, as well as save more towards retirement.  Visit www.hrs.wsu.edu/voluntary-investment-plans for information on the two plans and how you can participate.  One of the plans also offers a Roth post-tax contribution option.

Enrollment or contribution amount changes can take up to two pay cycles to take effect, so act quickly!  The latest you can make a change for 2019 is November 29, 2019, which would allow us to only capture contributions on the last paycheck of the year.
