The School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering is hosting a seminar presented by Ryan Martens, Founder of Rally Software, March 9 @ 10:30 am12:00 pm

Biography:

Join us to discuss the journey of engineering on a bigger scale. Hear the accounts of numerous engineers working on a more global level to “dent the world.” Help us understand what it takes to create more Citizen Engineers and do it more quickly. Leading the discussion is a civil engineer who turned towards software and business with a history of entrepreneurship in technology and non-profits. You will learn about ways to work with more agility and discipline as well as with more empathy. Your participation and insights are greatly appreciated.

Abstract:

Ryan is a Board Member and Founder of Pledge1percent.com and Pledge1Colorado.org. As Founder & CTO of Rally Software he helped lead and grow the business through the IPO, as the first public B-Corp, and subsequent acquisition. He is also a mentor at Unreasonable Institute, Techstars, and Watson University. Ryan is passionate about impact, especially corporate social responsibility, and inspires other to show up for work and life with agility and purpose. He believes that to operate and innovate in our increasingly complex 21st century reality, we must nurture self awareness and empathetic sensibilities. Ryan is a graduate of CU’s Engineering and Business Schools and still lives in Boulder with his wife and son.
