ITS Maintenance: GlobalProtect VPN upgrade Oct. 27

At 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, Information Technology Services (ITS) will be upgrading the GlobalProtect virtual private network (VPN) software client.

Though no outage is expected, users logged into the GlobalProtect VPN application at the time of the maintenance may be disconnected and have to reconnect to the VPN.

Some users may need to upgrade their GlobalProtect VPN application, in which case the application will alert the user and prompt them to do so. Most users will not be prompted to upgrade.

If users have problems connecting to the VPN after upgrading their GlobalProtect application, ITS suggests uninstalling the application, reinstalling it, then restarting the computer.
