Graduate Assistant positon available – Dean of Students

The Office of the Dean of Students seeks applications for a graduate assistant position open for the 2014-2015 academic year.  The position begins August 16 and continues through May 15, including work during university breaks and requires a 20 hour per week commitment.

Job duties include but are not limited to: Program facilitation, creation of and execution of mass communication efforts to the WSU student population, management of social media, web management, student engagement, and office support.

The successful candidate will be a full-time degree-seeking graduate student who can work with minimal supervision, multiple/frequent distractions, all while working toward the best interests of students.  Additionally, the successful candidate must be able to make independent decisions on behalf of the office, work successfully as a part of a team and able to work in a high stress environment.  Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, sophisticated organizational and administrative skills are a must.
