Palouse Area Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) is now enrolling Veterans and/or Armed Service Members (VSM) in a free 8-week horsemanship course. Classes meet weekly on Mondays, 6-7 pm, from April 3-May 22. This experiential based program involves both groundwork with the horses as well as riding. Topics such as equine behavior, communication, reading body language and being sensitive to self and surroundings are covered. While these are important horsemanship skills we will also emphasize how to transfer these skills to human interactions. For more information or an application please contact Sue Jacobson at 335-7347 or sjacobson@vetmed.wsu.edu.
PATH is a community service activity of WSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine and is a United Way partner. Funding for this program is provided by the US Dept. of Veteran’s Affairs.
