Foley Institute: The NFL Anthem Controversy, Jan. 18

The Foley Institute presents writer and civil rights activist Shaun King:

“Kneeling for Justice”

NFL football player Colin Kaepernick began kneeling during the national anthem in 2016 to protest racial injustice in the U.S. This protest has generated strong reactions both in support and in opposition to U.S. athletes who have participated in it. Shaun King will discuss this controversy.
