Reminder: The Last Day to Incur Costs under Your 2013 FSA is March 15!

If you were a 2013 Flexible Spending Account (FSA) participant and still have funds remaining in your 2013 account, you have until March 15 to incur expenses to claim for last year’s account. The only exception to this is if you enrolled in a Consumer-Directed Health Plan/Health Savings Account for 2014.

All FSA claims against the 2013 account for services provided Jan. 1 through March 15 must be filed with ASI Flex, the plan vendor who administered the 2013 policy.  These claims must be filed by the claims filing deadline, March 31. Any claims submitted to the new plan vendor, Flex-Plan, will be counted towards the 2014 FSA account. Therefore, if you are wishing to access your 2013 remaining balance, you must submit the claims to ASI Flex.

FSA participants are allowed until March 31 to submit receipts for reimbursement from their 2013 account. Any funds remaining in the 2013 FSA after March 31 will be forfeited.
