Dr. Eric Mazur of Harvard University to present the S. Town Stephenson Lecture

“Confessions of a Converted Lecturer”
Friday, March 25, Abelson, Room 201 from Noon to 1:30 p.m.

The Department of Physics and Astronomy would like to invite you to the S. Town Stephenson Lecture which will be held on Friday, March 25 at noon in Abelson Room 201.   Our speaker will be Dr. Eric Mazur, Balkanski Professor of Physics and Applied Physics and Dean of Applied Physics at Harvard University. His general interest lecture is entitled: “Confessions of a Converted Lecturer” in which he will focus on his many instructional innovations that have markedly increased the “active learning” part of his teaching.  Among his many awards he was the first winner of the Minerva Prize for Advancements in Higher Education.
