Disability Awareness Symposium: April 6-10

The 3rd annual Disability Awareness Symposium is right around the corner, mark your calendars for April 6–10! The theme of this year’s symposium in Fitness for All: Inclusive Fitness and Sport. The symposium will be focusing on fitness from a holistic perspective and will incorporate both mental and physical fitness. The week will have a variety of workshops, presentations and classes focused on mindfulness, mental and physical health as well as nutrition.

This year’s keynote is Wesley Hamilton the Executive Director of Disabled but Not Really (DBNR). The organization focuses on advocating for the disabled community by raising awareness about Spinal Cord Injury, promoting mental and physical health and engaging many diverse audiences through their events. Fun Fact: Wesley was a featured hero on Queer Eye!
