The Brelsford WSU Visitor Center will be open for extended hours throughout Mom’s Weekend to assist with event questions, directions and other general campus information.
Extended hours include 7 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Friday, April 7; 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, April 8; and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, April 9. A Rosés and Kisses for Mom wine tasting event will be noon-4 p.m. Saturday at the visitor center, located at 150 E. Spring St., featuring four different Washington State University alumni rosé wines.
Visitor center staff will answer questions about Mom’s Weekend, assist with parking questions and permit sales, and discuss the WSU research and history featured in the facility’s exhibits during the three-day open house. Light refreshments courtesy of WSU Dining Services will also be provided as available.
The WSU community and its guests are invited to spend the afternoon sampling Cougar-connected wines during the Rosés and Kisses for Mom wine tasting event. The tasting includes four 1-oz. samples of Airfield Estates Rosé, Bridge Press Cellars Rosé, Goose Ridge Rosé de Pinot Gris and Kiona Rosé of Sangiovese.
Tasting tickets cost $5 and can be purchased at the door beginning at noon Saturday, April 8. Participants must be 21 or older with proper identification to purchase a ticket. Complimentary Hershey Kisses will also be available for visitors of all ages. Tasting tickets include a commemorative Brelsford WSU Visitor Center wine glass while supplies last.
A special Mom’s Weekend wine sale will be Thursday, April 6-Sunday, April 9. The sale includes $2 to $10 discounts on select WSU alumni wines. Cougar Cheese, honey and souvenirs will also be available for purchase.
