Brelsford WSU Visitor Center extended hours, wine tasting

brace your game day spirit by sipping Cougar-connected wine during a “Beat the Broncos” wine tasting and open house 4-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8 at the Brelsford WSU Visitor Center.

Sample wines from four wineries starting with the letter “B” that have ties to Washington State University alumni. Featured wines include Barnard Griffin Fumé Blanc, Basalt Cellars Rim Rock Red, Bergevin Lane Vineyards Love Struck Viognier and Bridge Press Cellars Evil Queen.

The visitor center will be open 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8 and 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9 to assist fans with any game day questions. Pre-game wine tastings and extended hours will continue throughout the football season for all home games.

Tasting tickets cost $5 and can be purchased at the door beginning at 4 p.m. The tasting includes 1-ounce tasters of each of the four featured wines. Tickets are limited to one per person. Participants must be 21 or older with proper identification at the time of ticket purchase.

Tickets also include a commemorative Brelsford WSU Visitor Center wine glass while supplies last. Each ticket will also act as a $5 discount on a bottle of wine, excluding the recently-released Cougar IV.

The event is open to all ages. A limited supply of light refreshments will be provided by WSU Dining Services and the visitor center.
