Blue course evaluation team joins Enterprise Systems Group

The Blue course evaluation initiative and technical staff are joining the day-to-day operations of the Enterprise Systems Group (ESG).

Through a concentrated 18-month period, the technical team in the Office of Assessment of Teaching and Learning (ATL) successfully onboarded half the university, and positioned the product and the initiative to move to full university scale in the coming semesters.

Locating Blue in ESG will situate the course evaluation project in the heart of enterprise-wide system operations and integration, adding technical resources and capacity.  Peg Collins will serve as ESG’s Associate Director for Blue.

This move will also permit tighter coordination among the Blue software, Blackboard Learn, myWSU, and other ITS systems, affording a broad view of changing technologies and needs across campuses, and increasing overall technical capacity for Blue operations, training, and customer support.

ATL Director Kimberly Green and the assessment staff will continue to work with colleges on the design of their course evaluation instruments, interpretation of results, and development of related policies and protocols.
