The Washington State University Alumni Association has surpassed its goal of reaching 40,000 members by 2020.

The membership drive—known as 40 by ‘20—was launched in 2018 to expand the base of support for WSU. As of this month, the WSUAA had recruited 41,280 members. The WSUAA had 13,000 members in 2003 and 26,000 members by 2012.

“Alumni Association members tend to be more involved with the university and generous donors,” said Tim Pavish, executive director of the WSUAA.” “40 by ‘20 was focused on recruiting more members and providing Cougs with a fulfilling way to channel their passion for WSU. As WSU deals with the impact of COVID‑19, it needs alumni support now more than ever.”
