Town Halls 2019: a closer look at the year ahead

A number of opportunities—as well as challenges—face the University during the current academic year.

System strategic planning. Campus climate and culture priorities. Workday. Diversity, equity, and inclusion implementation. The next steps in restoring the University’s fiscal health.

What does all of this mean to you and your department?

Talk all things WSU with president, provost

Updates about these and similar topics will be the focus of Town Halls 2019, a series of 18 informal get‑togethers hosted this fall by President Kirk Schulz and new Provost and Executive Vice President Mitzi Montoya.

The president and provost will make a brief presentation at each town hall before engaging in a dialogue with meeting attendees. Those attending may submit a question in advance for WSU’s top two administrators.

The upcoming sessions mark the fourth consecutive fall the president and provost will host 15 or more town halls for each campus, college, and major administrative unit. Upwards of 1,000 faculty, staff, and students typically attend the meetings.
