Washington State University is soliciting proposals for the management and operation of restaurant services at Palouse Ridge Golf Club.

“While we have a great relationship with the current contract holder, our goal is to ensure the best deal for the university while providing a great experience for our patrons,” said Stacy Pearson, vice president for finance and administration and chief financial officer.  “We are at the 10-year point, and it is in our best interest to test the market at this time.”

Proposers, including the current operator, are eligible to submit their qualifications until Aug. 28. A university committee will spend the fall reviewing materials provided by applicants and narrowing the field. WSU aims to have a new contract finalized by the end of the year.

Ensuring all future bookings for banquet and event space are preserved will be a top priority for WSU during negotiations if a new vendor is selected.

Banyans on the Ridge – a British Colonial-themed steak house – has operated inside the clubhouse at Palouse Ridge Golf Club since its debut in 2008. It’s expected to operate as usual though the end of the year.
