Volunteer judges needed for state FFA convention

Volunteer judges are needed for the annual Washington FFA State Convention, set for May 10-12 on the WSU Pullman campus.

Each year, nearly 3,000 FFA members from high schools across the state travel to Pullman to showcase their hard-earned skills in communication, science, business, and professionalism. The College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences helps coordinate the event but volunteers from throughout the WSU community are needed to lend their guidance and expertise for the convention’s Career and Leadership Development competitions.

Topics in need of judges include:

  • Media and Communication
  • Public Speaking
  • Marketing
  • Sales
  • Parliamentary Procedure
  • Interviews and Resumes
  • Education
  • Veterinary Science
  • Business Management & Economics
  • Spanish-speakers

It’s also an opportunity to help showcase WSU to future Cougs. Volunteers can sign up online.

For general convention and registration questions, contact Abbie DeMeerleer with Washington FFA.
