Sheryl Jenkins

Sheryl Jenkins, who worked at WSU Pullman from September 1986-February 2013, died Dec. 10, 2017.

Jenkins was born Sheryl Lynn Sarve on Feb. 5, 1948, in Colfax, Wash., where she lived until the age of 18.

She attended community college in Spokane, after which she moved to Pullman, where she was employed at Washington State University, most recently as a secretary for the College of Liberal Arts. While living in Pullman, Sheryl met and married Michael J. Jenkins, on Nov. 26, 1977. Mike and Sheryl made their family home in St. John, Wash., in 1991.

Sheryl is best known for her passionate love of horses. She spent many happy years owning and riding her horses. Mike and Sheryl rented a cabin in the Blue Mountains for 20 years, which was a cherished getaway where she enjoyed riding her horses and where they both enjoyed hunting game.
Sheryl was preceded in death by both her parents, Paul and Mildred Sarver. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Michael J. Jenkins; her brother, Richard Sarver; and her sister, Lara Sarver.
