PULLMAN, Wash. – Free and reduced rate parking options are available evenings and weekends across the Pullman campus.
With a new academic year underway, WSU Transportation Services is reminding folks to check out its evening and weekend parking map showing which lots are affected after 5 p.m. on weekdays or all day Saturday and Sunday.
The map provides a detailed look at where visitors with or without a parking permit can park for free (noted by the blue areas on the map) or at a discounted flat rate of $3 (noted by the yellow areas on the map).
“Payment and/or permit requirements after 5 p.m. on weekdays or on the weekends haven’t changed in years,” said Chris Boyan, Transportation Services associate director, “yet many potential visitors are unaware of their options and avoid coming to campus because of it. This map will hopefully be helpful to our visitors.”
While times and rules are posted individually at the entrance to each lot, the evening and weekend parking map will make it easier to identify where the free or discounted parking is before coming to campus.
Parking in the garages after 5 p.m. on weekdays, as well as on the weekends, is relatively unused.
Boyan added that parking in the garages after 5 p.m. and on weekdays, as well as on the weekends, is relatively unused. Transportation Services hopes more community members will visit campus knowing they now have a resource to guide them to the most convenient parking.
Students and employees are encouraged to share the link to these maps with friends and relatives who visit campus.
Please note that these parking options are subject to change during certain major events, e.g. commencement, football games, etc. If you have questions regarding parking for a specific event, contact WSU Transportation services at 509-335-7275 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
