Kenneth E. Hartz, 81, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017. He worked in a variety of positions including as a professor and heading the Environmental Engineering department at Washington State University in Pullman from the fall of 1979 to December 1989.
Hartz continued to teach at WSU Tri-Cities after retirement. He enjoyed woodworking, fly fishing, trap shooting, model trains, and family.
Rosary will be at 6 p.m. on Dec. 15, and the funeral will be at 10 a.m. Dec. 16 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prosser, Wash. In lieu of flowers, donations to Habitat for Humanity would be appreciated.
