Fiscal audits and internal controls

This course identifies and defines internal controls at Washington State University, explaining their role, purpose, and impact, as well as who is responsible for them. Additionally, this course will provide an overview on what is looked for in an audit and describes the different types of audits common to the university.

The ultimate objective of the workshop is to understand the why and how of establishing and utilizing strong controls that will help to ensure proper stewardship of WSU resources, and enable clean and good audits. This course is featured as one of many WSU Fiscal Management Training Resources.
