A mechanical problem at Bustad Hall in the College of Veterinary Medicine complex on the Pullman campus caused a scare this morning.
Parts of the building filled with smoke, triggering a mid-morning fire alarm and evacuation but authorities said no flames were discovered. No injuries were reported.
Pullman firefighters found that the smoke came from a malfunctioning belt on a mechanical device inside the building Tuesday morning.
