Join the WSU Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, in Bryan Hall Theatre for the groups’ first concert of the year.
The free performance will include works by Vaughan Williams, Mackey, Persichetti, Grainger, and Reed. The Symphonic Wind Ensemble will premiere professor David Jarvis’ “Diagonals” from his Wynwood Suite #2 for Wind Ensemble, and also feature professor Julie Wieck, soprano, singing Bernard Gilmore’s “Five Songs for Soprano and Band.”
